A Global Look At Home Interiors

This week I thought I’d share home interiors from around the world that I just love. Costa-Brava-luxury-home-4

This Costa Brava home on the east coast of Spain is a beautiful modern structure, very different to the rustic colonial ones we’re accustomed to. Making the most of the magnificent views, the home is constructed largely of glass, giving it a very spacious and airy feel. The sophisticated cool white interiors compliment the blue sea and greenery surrounding it. From Trendland.com, property originally listed on Sotheby’s International Realty.

This home is situated at The Peak, Victoria with its panoramic views of Hong Kong Island. The interior design of living room serve a warm neutral palette and make excellent use of its tall walls to accommodate decor accessories. The silver sculpture sits so appropriately between the wall-mounted shelving. From 15 Super Expensive Villas in Hong Kong on Architecture-Beautiful.

When I hear the word conservatory, it evokes images of ornate structures with Victorian influence. This particular one in South England, however, is actually Georgian styled. Love the architectural windows and the simple yet elegant decor with its timeless colour scheme. From How to Choose the Ideal Garden Room on HousetoHome.co.uk.

In South Brazil, this summer house enjoys an eclectic mix of design styles. The home combines brick, glass and wood wonderfully, and the unique accessories inject understated luxury without taking away the laid back ambience this home exudes. From Ilha Dos Marinheiros on Busyboo.com.

This American living room has a relaxed elegance about it. I just love how the centre stage is occupied by a fabulous royal blue ottoman and everything else just follows – the classic furniture, the raised fireplace and alcoves and the perfect choice of upholstery and soft furnishings. And finally I’d like to comment on this home near Toronto, Canada. It boasts of a double height ceiling in its main living area framed by rich sweeping drapes adding grandeur to an urban property. The fully landscaped rear garden with its maintenance free two tier stone patio is the call of the day. The fire pit and built in lighting makes for great outdoor entertaining. All these homes show great interior designing work by some of the best interior designers from all across the globe.

Inspired Living – A Promising Home Decor Accessories Store

Inspired Living, a new home store, recently opened its doors to the residents of the tri-city. Run by entrepreneur Harsh Bhatia and his forever smiling wife Vidhi, the store will not disappoint with its well displayed stock of LED Buddha canvas frames, wooden, glass and metal home decor accessories, furniture and cushions.

The store is an extension to their manufacturing and export business of handicrafts spanning almost twenty years. Prior to that, Harsh actually set out to do accountancy but found the desk work too monotonous. An introduction to an export house in Delhi led to a meeting of buyers and initial trading of leather animals. Leather dinosaurs that followed with the launch of Jurassic Park, were a huge hit and Harsh was given editorial coverage in a well known Hong Kong magazine. Since then, the company has moved on in leaps and bounds and 85% of their export work to USA and Europe is now wood, iron and cast aluminium products.

Inspiration for design can come from international trends, design institutes and buyers says Harsh. Production of certain lines is carried out at their factory premises in Panchkula and some is outsourced to artisans in Saharanpur where quality control is paramount.

Upcoming trends in interior design and decoration will focus on wall decor with an emphasis on adding a utility element to the hand carved wall accents and mixing different mediums like wood, metal and glass for example, candle sconce, votive holders.

Inspired Living can be found at #142, Industrial Estate, Phase 2, Panchkula or contact Harsh directly on 9888880988.
